World Version W5: Legends Collide The Time for Talk is Over!

30.06.2017

What does it take to be a legend? It takes sweat, blood, tears, courage, determination and the will to Never Give Up. And this is what will be on display on September 16, 2017, when modern-day legends collide on the breathtaking shores of Koper, Slovenia.

W5 is breaking new ground on September 16, 2017 with their first ever tournament in Slovenia. Fight fans will see 24 modern-day heroes battle it out over 12 fights. On fight night, there will be two early prelim fights, four prelim fights, six main card bouts, and a never-ending supply of adrenaline and excitement.

Talking about the main card of the night, fight fans will see hard hitting heavyweight Enver “The Iron Bull” Sljivar leading it off against equally dangerous Tomislav Cikotic. After his fight, we will see Andrej “AK-47” Kedves take on Sananzade Orfun. Sananzade will have to bring everything in his arsenal if he expects to take down Andrej, who is not only 5-0 in W5 fights, but also quickly getting the reputation as being the man to beat in the 65kg weight category. This should be Andrej’s final test before getting his first title shot in November 2017.

As for the last four fights of the night, they will be fast paced and full of action. First up we will also see Samuele "The Big" Canonico try to defeat local favorite Jasmin Becirovic. Jasmin is built more like a bodybuilder than a martial arts expert, but don’t be fooled, his knowledge and experience is one of the best and he loves to grind it out in the middle of the ring to see who is the toughest. Legends Agron Preteni and Enfusion champ Franc Grajs will take part in one of W5’s three superfights of the night. This is a rematch that everyone has been waiting for, for years. Franc is so eager to get at Agron that he has decided to come out of retirement to face Agron one more time. With blood running hot between these two fighters, this will be three rounds that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Once their fight ends we will have our second superfight of the night where Vlad “Diamond” Tuinov, who fights out of the famous Orel kickboxing school, “Chadin’s School,” will step into the W5 ring once again to prove he is the top dog at 71kg. Vlad will once again be defending his 71kg W5 European title. Most experts already have Vlad as the favorite in this fight, and rightfully so, he only has two professional losses and currently holds two W5 titles.

Our last fight of the night pits legends Miran “Slovenian Rocky” Fabjan from Slovenia and Dzevad “BH Machine” Poturak from Bosnia & Herzegovina against each other. Miran is undefeated in W5 fights but he will not be fighting in his normal weight-class. A while back he jumped up divisions to face the top-list fighters from K-1. And now he will face another legend in Dzevad Poturak. Dzevad has fought against some of the biggest legends of our time, such as Frank Munoz, Abdarhmane Coulibaly, Rico Verhoeven, and Melvin Manhoef. This battle will see some hard-hitting action and we expect that one of them won’t make it to the end.

For fight-fans everywhere the main card is just the epitome of today’s great warriors. We also have 6 Preliminary fights. Stefan Stanic and Sergey Chadin will be making an appearance early on in the night. Sergey, another product of the Chadin school in Orel, will be looking to bounce back after two losses in a row against Yao Agbetiafa.

We will also have Italian Fabio Di Marco take on Nikola Bozic, local fighter Aleksander Stankov against Petar Jaman in a heavily anticipated rematch, Slovenian Denis Porcic fighting Zoran Majkic and Monika Kusinis battling it out against Ana Filipovic. These last two are not just beautiful women, but are true fighters who are here to prove that women belong in the center of any battle.

Courage, honor, and passion will be on full display at this event in Koper on September 16, 2017, when W5 plays host to 12 great fights that will leave the fans ready to join the battle. No true fight fan will want to miss this. All fights are available on W5’s PPV channel at www.w5kick.tv.
